Standardized on systemd for Rust services, PM2 for Node. Every service gets a sync script that does the same thing -- rsync, build, restart. No containers. No orchestration layer. No Kubernetes. 4 machines, 5 services, one deploy pattern.
Right amount of ceremony for what this is. If I ever need more I'll know because something will break, not because a blog post told me I should be running Nomad.
